About the Outpost

Hey there, Neighbor.

I’m the person behind Barefoot Outpost — a Florida native, first-generation farmer, and lifelong lover of the backroads, the coast, and the places that still feel like home.

Growing up, I got to know the Florida you won’t find just passing through on the highway. Blackberry-lined cattle trails, the scent of orange blossoms dancing along quiet backroads, state roads lined with small farms and working land, little coastal towns, and the kind of places where folks still wave when you pass by.

Places with stories to tell, character of their own, and a way of life that’s hard to put into words but easy to recognize when you’ve known it all your life.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve found myself looking for more of that Old Florida identity in the things around me — the shirts we wear, the coffee we drink, the artwork we bring home, and the little things that say something about who we are and where we come from.

I want to see more of the Florida I knew growing up. Old roads and cattle country. Fishing towns and citrus groves. Salt air, open land, and the kind of everyday places that never needed much to be special.

Not just the Florida folks come to visit, but the Florida we call home.

When I couldn’t quite find what I was looking for, I figured it was time to make it myself.

That’s how Barefoot Outpost came to be — the dream of a little roadside outpost inspired by the Florida we natives have always known and loved, with coffee, goods, and designs that carry a little piece of that Old Florida spirit wherever we go.

More than anything, I hope Barefoot Outpost feels like home. And, in time, becomes a place where Old Florida Souls can find a sense of belonging.

For the ones who take the backroads instead of the highway, know the little local spots, remember when things moved a little slower, and feel a certain kind of pride in calling Florida home.

Because for us, Florida is more than a destination. It’s the land we grew up loving, the places we hold close, the people who shaped us, and is an essential part of who we are.

You probably won’t see my face around here much. I prefer it that way. Barefoot Outpost has never been about me– It’s about you, about us, about the places and stories that shaped us, and the little details that remind us where we belong.

My hope is to build a place you can visit — something that feels less like a storefront and more like a roadside stop where you can pull in, settle down, and feel right at home. Until then, I’ll keep working to bring a little more of that feeling here.

So pull up a chair, Neighbor. Pour yourself a cup, stay awhile, and have a look around.

Welcome to Barefoot Outpost.
